These books, published in 1784, are the firsthand account of Captain James Cook, explorer of the Pacific Ocean, including the three first-edition volumes of his fateful third and final voyage over the Pacific Ocean and the large folio image book of the first edition works from the travels. Beautifully rebound, this is a superior Pacific Voyages set with the atlas including the famed engravings that make the entire work so special.
One of the best titles in all of the history of exploratory literature, the title page reads: "Captain Cook. Voyage to the North Pacific Ocean for Making Discoveries in the Northern Hemisphere and to Determine the Position and Extent of the West Side of North America, its Distance from Asia and the Practicality of a Northern Passage to Europe."
A must have for any lover of Hawaii, the Age of Exploration and/or Captain Cook.
