This finely made band hides a sentiment of devotion. On top of the band a puffed heart is surrounded by two ivy leaves, all three inset with diamonds. Ivy is a symbol of everlasting love and loyalty.
The top of the ring opens up to show the hidden message, "Ever Thine".Also inscribed "Edie & Ed" inside the band.
The ring has a maker's mark for the Coley Brothers of Birmingham. Hallmarks indicate it was made of 18k gold in 1907, assayed in Birmingham.
